Residencies & Pop-ups

“Alamesa joined us as our first pop-up at (Truman Brewery venue) 91 in January 2018 and provided a wonderful vegan-driven food offering and were flexible to amend their menus for the progressive demographic of our target market in Brick Lane and The Truman Brewery. The food was fantastic, fresh and ever changing to keep the local trade on board. Delicious food for the duration of their stay! We were sad to see them go!”

Master & Margherita 2021 – Ongoing!

In the summer of 2021, whilst they produced and operated Avington Glamping, Joe built a pizza menu that sent ripples through every happy camper that came to stay. With a vast percentage of guests claiming it to be the “best pizza they’d ever had” we started to think that these delicious pizzas might be more than a simple pop-up solution when cooking outdoors! After some late night talks over the firepit with recipes expanded and many a name touted, ‘The Master & Margherita’ was born. Having continued the concept with numerous events and pop-ups since and with plans for their first bricks and mortar site close to fruition, watch this space as it continues to grow!

Alamesa @Avington Glamping, Summer 2021

We discovered the most amazing space in Avington Trout Fishery at the beginning of 2021 and managed to pre-produce and almost fully book our first ever glampsite. With outstanding food (the first outing for The Master & Margherita!) daily yoga and open water swimming onsite, Alamesa @Avington glamping was an outstanding success with rave reviews across the glamping board!

Alamesa / Fat Sabbath @The Three Crowns N16, 2018-2020

Evolving Alamesa’s restaurant level pubgrub into an upscaleable refined pub food franchise saw the birth of the immensely branded and impeccably delicious ‘Fat Sabbath’. Born in the The Three Crowns in Stoke Newington we expanded to two more sites in the Foxglove N1 & Brave Sir Robin N4 to great success until the pandemic hit. Picking up the pieces post lockdown we started to spread our wings again to great acclaim at The Woodbine N5 and The Griffin, N20 to the joy of many hungry punters.

Alamesa: The Restaurant @Secret Garden Party 2017

Having taken part in the restaurant at the Secret Garden Party in 2016 with former St John executive chef Chris Gillard, we were asked to return and produce our very own project the following year for the “last ever SGP”. With a six week turnaround on production we assembled an a-list team front and back of house and it was heralded as “the best restaurant we’ve ever had on site!” by the owners of the festival. At the time it was the last SGP but it has since returned this year and if it didn’t clash with too many other events, we were very close to taking on the hospitality operation in the 2,000 people glampsite at the festival! Alas but talks continue for involvement for 2023!
